It’s amazing what you can do with a some plain flour, warm water and oil! As a child puri or poori were always a treat to go with Sholay (chickpea dish), a Spicy potato yoghurt or Aloo subjee (Bombay aloo). It was a treat because it would need a deep fryer which we didn’t always keep on the go.
Anyway, it’s quite an easy recipe where you mix all the ingredients together with a pinch of salt. Roll out to any size you want, a couple of mm thick and drop into a hot fryer. They will puff up, which is cool!
